The Kubuqi Model of desertification control is, in fact, a great model worth emulating. In Africa, a sand control program like the Kubuqi’s will benefit 15,000 young people as well as 2 billion hectares of land. As many countries draft climate action plans in light of their local conditions, desertification control endeavors can help keep climate change at bay and at the same time increase biodiversity. This is what will make the difference in the long run.
