The Belt and Road Desert Green Economy Innovation Center, aimed to share China’s experience in combating desertification and land degradation with other countries along the Belt and Road, is opened by UNEP and Elion Foundation today in Kubuqi Desert in Ordos, North China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Erik Solheim, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and UNEP Executive Director, and Wang Wenbiao, chairman of the eco-friendly enterprise Elion Resources Group being introduced at the launching ceremony.
